  • Daisy, Poppy and Rose Giorano are back and not a moment too soon!  A handsome new student is attracting the attention of every girl in school, but he has eyes only for Daisy.  Her boyfriend, Ryan, is not amused, but his increasingly erratic behavior and unexplained absences certainly don’t show it.  With her hands full with prom committee, Daisy is hoping everything will work out on its own, but luck is not on her side.  When a favorite teacher is murdered in the park in what appears to be a werewolf attack, the town of Nightshade, California is on edge and the paranormal community is convinced that someone is trying to frame them.

In this volume, Poppy has fallen hard for an unlikely beau and is destined to get her heart-broken, but the sisters feel they cannot begrudge her this happiness, especially considering Rose is dating a werewolf.  Between prom decisions, her sister’s bizarre love life, and trying to understand Ryan’s strange behavior, Daisy is no match for the charming, if smarmy Duke, the local new boy and fortune-teller.  Despite constant rebuke, Duke refuses to take the hint, and Daisy finds herself attracting envious stares from many of the girls at Nightshade High.  With her renewed friendship with the Divine Ms. Samantha Deveraux, Daisy might have a chance to reignite the passion, solve the murder, and save the day.

Perez once again captures the teen voice so well.  With the addition of a bit of paranormal sparkle, this is one series you don’t want to miss and it just keeps getting better!
